Shifting gears a little bit with Spring Training into
the new decade, we present “Advanced Auto Extrication, beyond
the ‘Five-Star Challenge’.”
This hands-on program is designed for responders
who are proficient in their vehicle extrication skills. Skills
taught and practiced this weekend will go beyond the intermediate
skill levels. Attendees will perform challenging team problem
solving extrication scenarios, included but not limited to, vehicle
rollover, on their sides (more and less than half way), frontal
offset, over and under rides. This program won’t just be
cars. Expect the unexpected, much the same as we encounter every
day on the highways and byways. Extrication is no different than
any other FOOLS-style training, and will consist of extreme vehicle
extrication scenarios based on situations that will challenge
the extrication team to their limits and beyond.
The Curriculum will consist of four
4 hour skills stations covering:

Extrication Challenges, Maximizing
Your Personnel with Aaron Heller, Capt. Hamilton Township
FD, NJ and Jersey FOOLS

Airbag Rescue Scenarios with Paul DeBartolomeo,
FDNY and Lt. Eddie Burwell, FDNY

Introduction to Heavy Truck and Bus
